TEXTURE PACK HELP Empty TEXTURE PACK HELP

im trying to download a texture pack and just drag and drop it after extracting the file into the texture pack folder. but a problem occurs with every pack i down load as soon as the game starts up i get a black screen and it wont work
PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP REPLY TO ME

Don't extract the file, you just have to put a .zip file in your texture pack folder, that should work.
